SUMMARY

Pamunkey Indian Tribe’s (PIT) Health Services Department strives to maximize the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of Pamunkey citizens by providing quality medical and support services. The department operates a financial reimbursement program that pays for citizens’ dental and medical services, including urgent/ER and specialty care, and is developing plans to offer on-site physical therapy. The Health Services Department also collaborates closely with Enrollment & Citizen Services to administer grants and develop health-related programming.

Position Title:            Natural Resources Specialist (NRS)

SUMMARY

The Natural Resources Specialist (NRS) is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, technical, and planning duties to identify and achieve the goals of the Tribe regarding environmental advocacy and natural resource conservation. The Specialist will work with different groups within the Tribal, Local, State, and Federal agencies to fuse Indigenous knowledge with scientific data to protect and defend the Pamunkey River, the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, and surrounding bodies of water. The Specialist will also work to provide environmental outreach and education to Tribal Citizens, the public, and requesting agencies.

The Finance Director for the Pamunkey Indian Tribe reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for financial management functions, which encompass administration, daily operations, supervision of tribal employees, policies, procedures, and grant/program management. Ensures financial operations are in compliance with Tribal laws, ordinances, standards, and all applicable federal and Virginia state laws.

Emergency Management Coordinator

Position Title:            Emergency Management Coordinator

Supervisor:                Executive Director & Tribal Council

Job Type:                   Part time - Contract

Salary Range:            $35 per hour up to $8,000 per year

 

Summary 

 

The Emergency Management Coordinator is a part-time contract position that will assist the Tribe’s development and implementation of its emergency management plan/activities. The Coordinator will be the Tribe’s official representative on local, state, and regional committees/groups for the purpose of emergency planning. The Coordinator position is a remote work position from the Tribal Office with the exception of those instances where attendance is deemed essential.

Janitorial Pamunkey Indian Tribe

Request for Janitorial Bids

The Pamunkey Indian Tribe is requesting a minimum of 3 bids for once-per-week janitorial cleaning services for five of its tribal buildings in King William, Virginia: The Tribal Office, Tribal Resource Center, Health Services Building, Museum, & Community Resource Center.

Please Note

  • All applicants must be fully insured.

  • All applicants must adhere to complete the scope of work delineated below. 

  • Initial term of the contract will be for 3 months (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026). Upon satisfactory completion of the initial 90 days, a one-year contract for services may be negotiated between the contractor and the Tribe.

  • Submit bids to include: 

    • A monthly rate.

    • Previous related work to that which is being requested

    • At least one professional reference

  • Preference shall be given to Indians, Indian owned businesses, and Indian organizations as it pertains to procurements made by the Tribe. If applicant is claiming Indian Preference, proof of such claim needs to be included in the bid document.

  • Bids are due by May 11, 2026, at 4:30 pm.
